Most of you know that I am certified in yoga. However, most of you don't know that I have not had a consistent practice for quite some time. I really don't have a good excuse why I stopped. The good news is that I decided to get back to my yoga practice. I feel so amazing since I started back. I can honestly say that I think yoga is part of the fountain of youth and a big component to having good mental health. Yoga detoxes your organs, it allows you to go inward for mindfulness, it releases endorphins (happy chemicals) and it raises your GABA (calming neurotransmitters) which is linked to helping people who suffer from anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma and bi-polar disorder. I encourage all of you to find a yoga class and get on your mat! You won't regret it.
