And the glass was half full

Sometimes life throws you a curve. Your road of life is going along without any bumps in it and and all of the sudden….BAM! This BAM happened to me starting about two weeks ago. First of all a squirrel got into my house and ate two of my plantation shutters. I later found him dead in my basement. The next week I saw some debris floating outside my dining room window, then I heard a crack/thud. I realized that the giant tree in my yard had lost a giant branch and barely missed the house. A tree removal crew and a torn up yard was the end result of that. Instead of thinking that this is terrible luck and getting down I decided to turn my frown upside-down. I was thankful to have someone replace my shutters and I felt bad that the sweet squirrel had to die because he was trapped in my home (I did have traps set to save him). I was thankful that the tree did not hit the house or go the other way and fall into the street perhaps killing a driver. It was a big beautiful tree and now it is gone. I decided to look at these two stressful events as just being part of life and finding the gratitude in them because they could have gone way worse. Take today to find the gratitude in your life. All of it. The good, bad and the ugly. For today, make your glass half full.

Warmest Regards,
